I agree that overall it does come down to ethics. Although, every worker there wants to keep their job, which means they will use the fill substitute safe or not. The workers will do what they are told because if they don\'t managment would have found someone else who would. I think that it comes down to the ethics of their supervisors and the people futher up the chain of command that knew and did not take action. There was a lack of ethics exhibited by the employees on the rig,and all the way through BP itself. This in turn, contributed to the disaster.

If you look at the overall picture, it comes down to ethics. If the workers knew the fill substitute was not safe, they shouldn't have used it. Yes, BP may have been pushing them to get it done faster and cheaper, but it was up to them to do it safely.
